The alpha version of the next edition of XP Tablet PC software is code named Lonestar, and several Web sites are reporting that Microsoft plans to include it in the second beta of XP Service Pack 2.
Lonestar is expected to be released as Tablet PC 2004 around mid-year, and is rumored to have improved handwriting recognition and support for instant messaging and collaboration features.
