How To Access Microsoft PIM Apps After PI 5 Has Taken Over Machine

Here is one way to still get to the original Microsoft PIM apps:

Use a file explorer program, such as Resco File Explorer
Enable display of hidden .EXE files
Navigate to the \Windows directory
Look for the "tasks" icon for an app, (2K on 5/11/04 in the HP hx4705 Rom), not the 1K tasks icon with a check mark)
Click on that icon to start the task

To disable the PI override of the tasks, Rescoe File Explorer lets you create a new program shortcut.

I'm going to recommend creating a new folder to put the original shortcuts in.

From the \Windows directory, get right click popup menu for the tasks.exe icon described above
Navigate to \Windows\Start Menu\Programs
Create a new folder "Microsoft PIM Programs"
Navigate into that folder
Select from menu Edit -> Paste Shortcut

Now you will have a Tasks shortcut that will go to the Microsoft Tasks PIM.

If you paste it into \Windows\Start Menu\Programs, then buttons that were grabbed by PI5 will now go to Microsoft PIM instead.
