  • One salon owner says it should be considered like buying braces. Beware of glue in or sew in. The extensions are taken out every 5-12 weeks, taken out, and then reattached. "Why not grow your hair longer?" - You can have them today.... It's human hair + installation. The salon owner says her own extensions are bra length, costs about $550 for the hair, and 150-250 for the installation. $800 total.
    

You want to ask where the hair comes from - European hair is the best.

There is maintenance involved, avoid brushing too close to the scalp. They must commit to the color, and your natural hair has to be colored the same. Shampoo can be done the same way as the natural hair.

• European hair is softer, asian hair is more coarse. Europeans probably don't style it as much.
• Caller Laura: Girls in India sell their hair when they are 12 or 13, they keep their hair covered all their lives to keep it from being damaged.

Caller: Be wary of hair from Europe. A friend had lived in Prague. She had curly blonde hair past her butt, and she was attacked and they stole her hair, cutting her hair to her ears. She was so freaked out, she hasn't been able to grow her hair out since.

• How much would that be worth? Walking around with long naturally blonde hair is like walking around with $5000 in your back pocket.
